For a new full piece that I'm going to be posting onto the Portal, I had to use a reference picture that I took myself.
After:
Before:
The After looks better, in my opinion. I find some sense in this "visual library" talk that I've been seeing on the forums.
But: I tried having the wrist be a different distance from the table edge, and it looked more like the Before!
The before picture, actually looks a little better in my opinion. The thumb and pinky look a bit more expressive in that first one.
But yeah, the general shape is a bit better in the second.
